Education 3.0

I am an avid fan of Dr Peter Attia, a former oncologist and M.D. from Austin, Texas, who now runs a practice specialising in longevity and holistic health. He refers to Medicine 3.0, as the future of medicine, distinguishing itself from modern medicine (2.0), by looking to prevent rather than simply treat illnesses (which is pretty much where medicine has been for a hundred years.

This sparked a thought this morning about equation 3.0 and then realised that I could not have coined this phrase…I didn’t! The following is a wonderful article written 8 years ago. Fundamentally it talks about education having adopt adopt a three tiered approach: Neuroscience, Cognitive (Learning) Psychology, and Education Technology. By combining these methodologies and modernising educational approach, we are better able to meet the demands and needs of the modern pupil.
